Furry commission artists, what is it like?

What is it like for you? I’ve always loved drawing and I do it all the time. I’ve done some requests for friends and family (designed a craft beer logo, illustrated some dnd scenes, made some little comics for a friend’s kids) but never for actual strangers. Let alone for money (I usually request payment in cake or chocolate lol)

It sounds like a cool thing to do, and let’s be honest, a little extra money would be very welcome too. But I’d like to know what I’d be getting into before I really commit, you know? I’m not really active in the furry community, I know about the basic stuff and I just like drawing (anthro) animals. 😋

So I’d love to hear from folks about their experiences as a furry artist.
