Does being a human just feel sort of— ick, to you?

Does being a human just feel sort of— ick, to you?

I mean, have you ever taken a good look at yourself, as if you were an alien or an anthro witnessing humans for the first time? Feet, hair, weird face and ears, very obvious signs of aging, no tail— @w@

And I’m not a new furry; I’m almost two years in, went through my honeymoon and WTF phases, and am now firmly in love with the fandom. Still, once I was going about my daily life and thought to myself “That’s weird, they don’t have a tail. Oh yeah, humans don’t have tails.”

They’re not a very attractive species, not to mention how uncomfortable and slow plantigrade motion is (had to be put in leg braces once to be able to put my heels down). I’ve seen renders of what anthropomorphic foxes and wolves would realistically look like, and they’d look absolutely stunning. The fluffy life would have challenges, but considering that extremely advanced biotechnology would be required to make species change a possibility, those drawbacks (e.g. cooling) would be addressed.

Besides, if you take a look at the book Swapping Bodies with Animals, there’s a reason anthropomorphic animals are much more popular than zoomorphic humans.
