How should I start making shapes for my fursuit head?

All I have made so far is this muzzle and the headbase from when I attempted to make my sona a first time… Any suggestions on face shaping though and foam size? This is my first time making a fruit head (sort of) and I don’t wanna mess up anything. I want it to look like my sona, although I don’t want it in a kimono style. More of a western style but cartoony.
