There is some news that I feel I need to share to everyone in this subreddit. (TW: Suicide)

It is unforutnate to have been made aware of a worrying situation in the furry community. I have been made aware while scrolling twitter that the furry community is experiencing a surge of suicides.

I have to state that other furries have been made aware of this situation. If one is experiencing suicidal ideation, or is in a state of severe depression, please give them necessary resources for their situation. If possible, contact a local suicide hotline.

It is very important that action is made to mitigate any further suicides. This fandom is a source of community, happiness, and love and I really wish that this community should not take a turn for the worse. Please keep the furry community a happy place and keep hoping that all of us will help fight this threat as this is for the people in the community and for the memories this community has made for us.

As a community, we should be proud for the unity everyone contributes to the fandom. So we should help prevent this situation from getting worse
