Vent

(Potentially triggering content) My parents have been very misunderstanding recently, They have told me that they think furries identify as animals when I keep telling them we are just fans of anthropomorphic characters. My mom said people who wear fursuits are mentally unstable which is why they dress like animals. This really triggered me because that isn’t the case why fursuits exist at all and we don’t think we are animals. They also said conventions are full of people who identify as animals which really made me uncomfortable because that isn’t the truth about the fandom.
