Whys it so hard to find genuine and normal furrys?

I live in England and that probably makes it harder but the only place I’ve found furrys is online and the majority are in the us/Canada, that’s not that big of an issue but why are the majority I come into contact with or Try to build friendships with end up being just strange or wanting weird things from me?? Is this just a me experience? EDIT:(what i mean by strange is the people being sexual or just straight up weird when you first speak and by normal i mean them being your genuine self hope that clears stuff up a bit 🙂 )
